The Six Basic Principles of Government
The United States government has many responsibilities. These include keeping the public safe, collecting taxes, and providing public school services. However, there are six basic principles that the government is made of. These six ideas are popular sovereignty, limited government, separation of powers, checks and balances, judicial review, and federalism. Under each idea are examples of how they are applied in today's society.
